Mikel Arteta is set to make a number of changes to his Arsenal squad this summer as he looks to guide them back into European competitions.

The 2020/21 campaign proved a miserable one for Arteta and his Gunners squad, who failed to secure European football for the first time in 25 years.

Despite a late resurgence at the back end of the campaign, they could only muster an eighth-place finish in the Premier League.

Reports suggest Arteta is plotting a squad revamp at the Emirates in the summer transfer window, with several players likely to both join and depart his team.

And Daily Star Sport are on hand with the latest Arsenal transfer news below.

White price discovered

Arsenal are one of several clubs eyeing up a move for Brighton defender Ben White, who has earned a shock last-minute call-up to England’s Euro 2020 squad after Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced to withdraw through injury.

It is believed Brighton value White at a lofty £50million, meaning the Gunners will have to delve deep into their pockets to win the race for his signature.

Liverpool and Manchester United are likely to provide competition for the 23-year-old, which could spark a three-way bidding war this summer.

Gunners set for Bellerin windfall

Hector Bellerin is reportedly looking to leave Arsenal after eight years at the club, setting his sights on a move back home to Spain.

Talk of a potential swap deal involving Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier has been mooted, although Manchester United are also interested in signing the England international.

Nevertheless, ahead of Bellerin’s impending departure, CBS Sports claim Arsenal chiefs have slapped a £20million price tag on him this summer.

Real Betis have also been linked with the Spain star, who has racked up 239 appearances for the Gunners.

Petit slams former club

Emmanuel Petit has hit out at Arsenal’s transfer policy after his former club lost out to Leicester and Aston Villa in the race for Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and Norwich’s Emiliano Buendia.

“How many times were they wrong in buying players at Arsenal?,” Petit told talkSPORT. “Defenders, Mustafi, Sokratis, with the same talent. They were adding players on players on players, but they were no difference between them.
