Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already making good progress with the 21-year-old as he has ‘basically agreed’ on the terms of his contract at Old Trafford.
And Eurosport have reported that United’s second pursuit of Sancho has a strong chance of finishing with his signature.
The outlet has described the deal as the ‘most likely to happen’ over the summer transfer window as Dortmund are ‘open’ to the forward leaving.
But there are still some conditions that have to be met, with the clubs discussing an agreed valuation on Sancho.
United are looking to ‘set out their stall’ at £70m, which is £10m lower than the German side’s expectation – but the deal is unlikely to go beyond the £100m barrier.
And the report states that the fact Dortmund are ‘looking at replacements’ suggests will move ahead with the deal when they are ’satisfied’ with the offer.
Do you think Man Utd should sign Jadon Sancho this summer? Let us know in the comments section.
Sancho enjoyed another strong season at the Westfalenstadion, scoring 16 goals and making 20 assists on the way to the DFB Pokal.
The forward is now on international duty ahead of Euro 2020 alongside potential new United team-mates Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Dean Henderson.
He said last month: “I think if you look at the policy over the last couple of years since Ole has come in at Manchester United, I don’t think they will sign another striker.
“I haven’t got the contacts on the inside that I used to have, so it’s my assumption, because they’ve been desperate for Sancho.
“You look at their recruitment last summer, they didn’t get Sancho and they were criticised for that. I criticised them for that.
“But they could look incredibly smart this year if they get him nearer half the price and they’ve waited 12 months.”
