The French defender only moved to the Etihad Stadium from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018 but has impressed Pep Guardiola so much that he has already earned a new deal on enhanced terms.
Laporte, 24, has started every Champions League game and has been rested for just one Premier League match this season.
